I've recently purchased a newer HP printer that has a built-in Ethernet port. Since I got it, no matter how many pages I selected to be printed, it only printed one copy of the entire document.

This quickly became frustrating.

I tried many different PDFs and different PDF readers Ubuntu (Linux), but eventually, I figured it had to be the driver.

Fast-forward a few weeks and after some Internet sleuthing, I discovered a setting for CUPS that fixes this!

I had to add a new line (at the end) to /etc/cups/ppd/HP_Color_LaserJet_Pro_MFP_4301.ppd:

*cupsManualCopies: True

I had to make sure to include the asterisk at the beginning of the line.

Then I restarted CUPS: sudo systemctl restart cups.service

That seems to have fixed the issue!

I found this solution in comments here: ethernet-connected printer only prints one copy when multiple requested (#242)

Happy printing!
